In autumn, the Hakkoda Mountains don a fiery brocade of fall foliage. Take in views of the dynamic fall foliage with a mountain hike or drive, then savor the wild mushrooms, fruit, and other foods from the mountains. The first snow arrives in late October, producing a contrast between the red leaves and white snow that will leave you at a loss for words.
